Diabetes and Hypertension is the leading cause of chronic kidney disease (CKD). CKD leads to End-Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) that requires dialysis or a kidney transplant. We know that diabetes and high blood pressure does not have to lead to CKD. No CKD-No ESKD. In those with early CKD, the progression of it can be delayed. Slow CKD-Slow ESKD=Delayed dialysis.
Six years ago, my mom was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. I got the call when she was in stage 3B. At the time, I was working in dialysis. I dropped everything, prayed, and taught myself all I could about kidney disease. I followed all the instructions from God and implemented what I learned.
